Amir Dadgar-Yeganeh, DDS

Glendale, United States

Glendale orthodontist Dr. Amir Dadgar-Yeganeh (Dr. Amir) is a Los Angeles native. Dr. Amir’s initial interest in orthodontics sparked by his own orthodontic treatment experience, at the age of 9, where he saw firsthand how his orthodontist changed his smile, gave him a comfortable bite, and then realized how much a beautiful smile affected his self-esteem and future success. As Dr. Amir was preparing for his pre-dental studies, he was accepted to UCLA as a Regent Scholar with full scholarship majoring in Psychobiology and graduated Summa Cum Laude Honors. He then went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious UCSF School of Dentistry, where he served as the Class President, and was awarded the Frances A. Sooy Chancellor’s Cup with highest honors from his dental school class before joining UCSF orthodontic residency. He was also the recipient of California Dental Association and American Association of Dental Education scholarships. He completed his orthodontic certificate in addition to obtaining a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences with a 4.0 GPA. His thesis was focused on the relationship of TMJ disorder to airway and vertical facial growth and its relation to obstructive sleep apnea, recently published in the Journal of World Federation of Orthodontists. He is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. As a board-certified orthodontist, Dr. Amir truly enjoyed teaching and he is currently a clinical educator at UCLA Section of Orthodontics, teaching orthodontic residents, and the course director of Interdisciplinary orthodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, teaching dental students.
